The name T.L.P  stands for Tactical Leaderships Program, the program is a kind of international flying school.  The members of the T.L.P are UK, USA, Spain, Germany, Italy, Denmark, Belgium and The Netherlands. They pay a kind of contribution every year to be a member of this kind of elite club. Other members of NATO who want join one of the courses can buy slots, one slot means 1 plane with crew. Country's who are joining in this way are Turkey, Canada, France, Portugal, Norway and Greece.

The course has two branches, Academic Branch to train the pilots in tactics and teach them about mission that have been  flown, for example former Yugoslavia. The other branch is the Flying Branch where the pilots get to fly missions above Europe. Every day there is a new mission that has a new leader. For example on Monday the France AF has to lead the mission , next day the German AF has to take charge of the mission. The leader of that day have to plan the mission for that day, and brief all the other International pilots what their plan is.

The Organization organizes 6 courses every year, normally there is one somewhere in Europe exercise, that course is normal held at Florennes Air Base in Belgium. It is a good place to be, at a normal flying day  you can see about 30 fighter aircraft  who take part in the exercise. They fly one mission a day. Or they have a Air to Air refueling , but normally they fly around one and half hour missions.
