| Bell P-39s which in its export version was designated P-400, originally intended for Britain but repossessed by the Army after Pearl Harbor. Although disparagingly called "Klunkers" by Air Force pilots, the plane served with distinction in the Cactus Air Force. Here they are mud mired on Henderson. |
