Thunderbirds Maintenance

| SSgt Rick Card (Engines) and assistant on # 4 helps crew chief Eddie Jernigan clean their aircraft. When not traveling on the road (an average of 250 days a year)…home station reprieves were always, always full of work,….getting caught up on maintenance, phases, engine and time changes, special inspections, as well as flying practice shows each day…sometimes twice, maybe 3 times a day. A lot of maintenance hours were put into these big Phantoms, all while supporting the pilot's flying and training requirements, each day, each week.Thunderbirds have never in the history of the Team cancelled an airshow due to maintenance….a record we uphold and are quite proud of. |
