| Water Survival Training at Homestead AFB, Florida. An annual requirement for all enlisted people (and pilots) who wanted to remain current to fly. We enlisted pholks had to go through the Altitude Chamber at George AFB also and have the certification card in order to fly. Water survival training was always fun, as well as informative and provided excellent training that was useful for both our military job and for civilian boating and weather safety as well. An annual Homestead tradition/ritual,….we always worried about sharks in the training area even though the Survival Instructors use to tease us and "assure" us the gates were closed on the channel. Good Times Never Seemed SoGood!:) |
