Navy version of the B-24

 
This is a picture of the plane Carl flew on, and the crew he flew with.
They flew all over the Pacific, Hawaii, Philippines, Johnson Island, 
 Kwajelin, Guam, Tinier, Iow Jima, Shanghi  China and the coast of Japan. 
They also  flew over Nagasiki, Japan after the atomic bomb was dropped.
Carl home base was Okinana from 1944 to 1946
